Embraer India Office — A Strategic Hub for Growth
Why New Delhi, and why now?
Embraer has inaugurated its fully owned Embraer India office in New Delhi, located at WorldMark 4, Aerocity. Senior leaders attended, including Brazil’s Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and India’s Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu. The site will coordinate commercial, defence, executive aviation, services, and UAM efforts.
What the hub unlocks
The Embraer India office in New Delhi will act as a central node for supply chain, partner engagement, and customer support. Embraer says India is “central to its global vision,” and the facility signals a step-change from sales outposts to deeper industrial and programme collaboration.
Defence: positioning the C-390 for MTA
On the same day, Embraer and Mahindra signed a strategic cooperation agreement to position the C-390 Millennium for the Indian Air Force’s Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) programme. The pact envisages local manufacturing, assembly, and MRO, aligning with Make in India goals. The Embraer India office in New Delhi operations will support this bid.

The C-390 already has a growing global operator list, and Embraer sees India as the primary defence market. This strengthens the aircraft’s case on capability, availability, and lifecycle cost—key MTA evaluation metrics.
Existing defence footprint
Embraer has a two-decade India record. The ERJ-145 platform underpins the IAF’s Netra’ AEW&C aircraft, while Legacy 600s support VIP transport. The new office consolidates lessons from these programs for future campaigns, notably C-390.
Commercial aviation: building regional connectivity
Embraer’s E-Jets first flew in India in 2005 and continue to open “blue ocean” regional routes. Star Air operates an all-Embraer fleet of ERJ-145s and E175s, expanding connectivity to tier-2 and tier-3 cities. That growth underwrites a robust in-country base for support and training anchored by the Embraer India office in New Delhi.
UAM: Eve’s Indian push
Backed by Embraer, Eve Air Mobility is expanding in India. It is working with JetSetGo to explore deployment of Vector, software for managing urban air traffic that eases congestion and supports sustainable travel. These projects dovetail with the Embraer India office in New Delhi as a coordination point for ecosystem partners.

India–Brazil ties: more than symbolism
The inauguration also reflects deepening India–Brazil relations. It combines diplomatic signalling with practical industrial follow-through—a local office, a defence industrial pact, and commercial and UAM roadmaps. This combination of policies and programs increases the probability of durable outcomes.
What to watch next
- Industrialisation plans: Track workshare, supplier onboarding, and MRO footprints tied to the C-390 proposal.
- Regional fleet growth: Monitor Star Air’s network and fleet decisions, which shape E-Jet support demand.
- UAM milestones: Look for Vector trials, regulatory pilots, and vertiport concepts in Indian metros.
Bottom line
The Embraer India office in New Delhi turns intent into structure. It anchors defence campaigns, supports regional airline growth, and accelerates UAM piloting. India gains new industrial options; Embraer gains proximity, speed, and credibility.
